It is best to use simple but beautiful background, so that it will not have a big impact on the objects you are shooting. The white wall is a good choice. If you want to diversify the background to create different styles, you can use some photography backdrops. I recommend these abstract backdrops: https://bit.ly/3zSQm8z

I wanted to catalog my egg artwork. Using a nice yellow poster board, curved to eliminate a line, I set up two lamps. The window was to the left of the scene. One lamp at the right was a daylight lamp and the other in front was a bare 60 watt bulb. I got shadows. The contrast was perfect. When I printed the picture they came out pumpkin yellow although the camera shows them yellow. How do I eliminate shadows?

Getting lighting ratios right takes a lot of experimentation. Fun and frustrating, but time well spent.

The mathematical formula says it as keyLight upon fill Light which should always be less than one.Yes if you want to show a dull or sad or may be worried mood keep the fill light as low as possible and just see the effect.
